Banquets, Dinners and Festivities
Exclusive banquets or smaller formal dinners can be arranged in the Tapestry Ballroom for 25 to 80 persons.
Menus are arranged specifically according to the party and the occasion. We have held Birthday celebrations, Shooting dinners, Business dinners of 6 courses with wine tasting, Christmas dinners, Jubilee luncheons and so forth.
Ladies lunches, high teas or evening buffets can be made in connection with a guided visit through selected salons and rooms of the Manor house as well as the gardens.
Guided tours for larger groups with soft drinks or coffee are also available.
Shooting Parties
Shooting dinners can be formal affairs held in the Tapestry Ballroom with a five-course meal followed by coffee and cognac in the Yellow Salon.
Lunches can either be as picnics with homemade snaps/aquavit out in the open, or as three course sit-downs in the large kitchen or the main dining room.
In conjunction with the shoots and its dinner, accommodation can be arranged at the Manor house.
Cookery Courses
The cookery courses at Gjessinggaard are designed for group participation and not single participants. Accommodation can be arranged at the Manor house. The minimum number of people required is 8 and the maximum is 12, as we wish the courses to be intimate, personal and spacious.

The cookery courses emphasise the use of herbs from the herb garden, which has over one hundred varieties of culinary and medicinal herbs, demonstrating how ordinary as well as exotic recipes can be transformed with the use of herbs and spices.
The kitchen has recently been returned to the site of the old kitchen in the north wing and has undergone complete renovation. The style of the kitchen is classic, being handcrafted in wood using the style of panelling from the salons and ballroom, while incorporating space and luxury within a country kitchen, fully equipped with all the modern accessories.
Besides these organised activities, please note that Gjessinggaard is a private residential Estate that is not open to the public.
